CORNERSTONE APOSTOLIC NETWORK HOLDS TEACHING ON GOD’S LOVE AND FELLOWSHIP

Kaduna — Worshippers at the Cornerstone Apostolic Network, Kaduna, were charged to deepen their personal relationship with God during a recent sermon delivered by Minister, Dr. Ben Aliku.
Speaking on the topic “The Reality of God’s Love and His Fellowship” with text drawn from 1 John 1:1, Dr. Aliku emphasized that the death and resurrection of Christ were designed to restore humanity to direct fellowship with God. He noted that, just as in the beginning, the essence of Christ’s resurrection is to ensure constant communion between God and man.
The minister warned believers against idolizing men of God, stressing that no man is superior to another except in their level of intimacy with God. “Our confidence should rest in our relationship with God, not in the validation of men,” he declared.
Highlighting the difference between religion and fellowship, Dr. Aliku explained that while religion is often a creation of man for control, power, or personal gain, true fellowship is God’s intention for His children. He urged Christians not to shy away from the process of discipleship, which he described as the pathway to eternal life.
“When we gather for fellowship, we do so with the Father through Jesus Christ,” he said, adding that personal fellowship remains more vital than corporate gatherings. According to him, God does not force transformation on anyone, but requires total submission.
Dr. Aliku further reminded the congregation of their direct access to God at all times. “We can freely speak to Him, share our burdens, and trust that He listens to those with whom He has a personal relationship,” he concluded.

The teaching left worshippers reflecting on the centrality of God’s love and the importance of cultivating a personal walk with Him beyond religious activities.
