Security Awareness Symposium in Uke 1

The Security Awareness Symposium organized by EQUIPPING THE NEEDY INITIATIVE was held on October 9th, 2023, in Paradise College of Health Science and Technology in Uke Community, located in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The event aimed to raise awareness about security issues and foster collaboration among security operatives, community members, and well-wishers. The symposium garnered a significant number of attendees, including security operatives, community leaders, and concerned citizens. 

The symposium commenced with opening remarks from the Director, EQUIPPING THE NEEDY INITIATIVE, DR. BENEDICT ALIKU, emphasizing the importance of security awareness and collaboration in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.  

A key focus of the symposium was crime prevention. Various security experts delivered presentations on strategies and measures to prevent crimes such as burglary, theft, and cybercrime. The importance of securing homes, businesses, and personal information was highlighted, and practical tips were provided to enhance security awareness among participants. 

The symposium highlighted the importance of robust security infrastructure in the community. Participants acknowledged the significance of collaborative efforts between the government, security agencies, and community members to enhance security infrastructure in Uke Community. 

In conclusion, the EQUIPPING THE NEEDY INITIATIVE symposium was a success. It further emphasized the importance of peace in communities, and the need to equip individuals with the necessary skills to promote peaceful coexistence.
