On January 18, 2024, a delegation from EQUIPPING THE NEEDY INITIATIVE conducted a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Headquarters. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties, discuss potential collaborations, and express gratitude for the Corps’ dedicated service to the nation.
The visiting delegation was led by the Executive Director, Dr. Benedict Aliku and his team. The team comprised individuals with diverse expertise and interests relevant to the NSCDC’s mission.
Upon arrival at the NSCDC Headquarters, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Corps’ Protocol Unit. The hospitality extended to the visitors showcased the professionalism and courtesy for which the NSCDC is known.
The highlight of the visit was a meeting with the Command General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi. The discussion covered a range of topics, including current security challenges, ongoing NSCDC initiatives, and potential areas of collaboration between the NSCDC and EQUIPPING THE NEEDY INITIATIVE. The Command General provided insightful perspectives on the Corps’ activities and expressed appreciation for the interest shown by the visiting delegation.
The Command General shared valuable insights into the prevailing security challenges in the region, highlighting the NSCDC’s efforts in addressing them.
Both parties explored potential collaboration avenues, such as joint training programs, information sharing, and community engagement initiatives.
Discussions also touched upon the importance of leveraging technology for enhanced security measures, with the NSCDC expressing openness to technological collaborations.

A certificate of Excellence, an award and also two DJI Drones were presented to Nigeria Security and Civil defence Corp.
