Equipping the Needy Initiative has rounded off its activities for the year with an end-of-year gathering that served as a moment of reflection, gratitude and celebration of the progress recorded across its various humanitarian programmes.
During a review of the year’s activities, the organization highlighted its extensive outreach efforts targeted at vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), widows and victims of Fulani attacks. The Initiative noted that it consistently responded to distress calls, providing timely assistance to affected communities across several states.
Among its major interventions were medical outreaches carried out for the needy and victims of violent attacks in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa and other states. These efforts, the organization said, were aimed at alleviating suffering and restoring hope to communities affected by conflict and hardship.
As part of its relief programmes, Equipping the Needy Initiative also distributed food items and Christmas cows to less-privileged families, bringing relief and festive cheer to many households during the Christmas season.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Benedict Aliku, expressed profound gratitude to God for His guidance and faithfulness throughout the year. He also commended the dedication, resilience and commitment of the staff, describing them as the driving force behind the Initiative’s vision and impact.
The gathering ended on a celebratory note, with staff members engaging in games and sharing meals together. The atmosphere of unity and thanksgiving reflected the organization’s renewed hope and determination to expand its humanitarian impact in the year ahead.
