
The atmosphere was charged with faith and revelation as members of the Cornerstone Apostolic Network, Kaduna, gathered to receive an inspiring message from Pastor Sunny Oduola on the topic “Overcoming Fear.” The teaching drew from several scriptural references including Philippians 4:6, Genesis 3:8, Matthew 14:25–30, 2 Timothy 1:7, and Hebrews 4:12.In his message, Pastor Oduola emphasized that fear is one of the greatest hindrances to spiritual growth and fulfillment of destiny. He noted that “fear makes a man remain in the dark and denies him access to his destination.” Highlighting the biblical significance, he reminded the congregation that the word “fear ” appears 365 times in the Bible — a daily reminder from God that believers should not be afraid.

He further explained that fear is not just an emotion but a spirit that cripples confidence and disconnects man from God. According to him, “sin is the origin of fear, which causes disconnection from God’s presence.” Using Peter’s experience on the water as a reference, he said, “fear makes a man sink as a result of doubt, and a double-minded person cannot receive anything from the Lord.”Pastor Oduola also described the effects of fear, noting that it affects the mind, body, and destiny.
