The service at Cornerstone Apostolic Network, Kaduna, was marked by deep spiritual insights as Pastor Benedict Aliku delivered a thought-provoking message titled “A Living Sacrifice.”Drawing from Romans 12:1, Pastor Aliku emphasized that believers are not in church by accident, noting that “something must draw a man unto God.” He urged Christians to consciously observe and do what God requires, stressing that divine purpose is revealed through obedience and devotion.According to him, “God cannot make someone a sacrifice; He only asks questions.” He explained that when believers become the “desired seed,” they ultimately bear the “desired fruit,” illustrating that the seed determines the outcome of a fruitful tree.In his message, Pastor Aliku highlighted that prayer alone is not sufficient for those who already have a deep relationship with God. “Prayer is for those who don’t know God enough, but for the children of the Kingdom, it is about relationship. When we gather, it’s for intercession — but for me, I talk to my Father, and He talks to me,” he said.He described the Kingdom of God as a global kingdom, urging members to see fellow believers not as enemies but as brothers and sisters in Christ. “When you see a believer as an enemy, you are not born again,” he warned.

Pastor Aliku further explained that the mercy of God reflects “true self-compassion,” and that being a living sacrifice means yielding completely to God’s will — owning nothing but submitting entirely to divine purpose. He concluded by outlining key attributes of a living sacrifice: obedience to God, unity with Him, and active participation in heavenly responsibilities. The message challenged believers to live a life fully surrendered to God, walking in total obedience and reflecting His nature in all things.
