CORNERSTONE APOSTOLIC NETWORK HOLDS FIVE-DAY DISCIPLE TEACHING “Jesus Teaching and His Disciples.”

The Cornerstone Apostolic Network Uke and Kutara, Nasarawa State, recently hosted a five-day intensive teaching program under the ministry of Pastor Dr. Benedict Aliku. The series, centered on “Jesus Teaching and His Disciples,” drew inspiration from Matthew chapters 24 and 25, with each day shedding fresh light on Christ’s instructions to His followers.
Topic__ Understanding the True Temple
Dr. Aliku emphasized that the magnificent temple built by Solomon was destroyed, signifying that the true temple of God is now the believer’s body.

He urged Christians to focus on building a genuine relationship with God rather than attaching value to material possessions.
“If your focus is on material things, you will live a miserable life. You are the temple of God, and God desire a relationship with you,” he said.
He warned against false prophets, encouraged contentment, and reminded believers that discipleship remains the mandate of the church.

Topic– Endurance and the Signs of the End time(Matt. 24:6-13)
On the second day, Dr. Aliku pointed to the world’s events as fulfillment of prophecy—wars, famines, and the rise of false prophets. He stressed the need for steadfastness, endurance, and discernment.
“When Jesus says He is coming back, truly He will come back. Only those who endure to the end shall be saved,” he declared.
.

.He also cautioned against deception on social media, highlighting how platforms like Facebook can mislead believers when not guided by scripture for planning and spiritual preparedness. Dr Aliku encouraged believers to prioritize God’s presence above all.
“Opportunity must meet you doing something; no one will pick you while doing nothing. Preparation positions you for God’s visitation,” he said.
He warned against ingratitude and materialism, teaching that wealth lies not merely in money but in how one values and uses time.

Topic– Discipleship and Christian Identity (Matt. 24:15-23)
Focusing on the abomination of desolation, Dr. Aliku explained that true Christianity is rooted in discipleship.Christian is one who receives the teaching of Jesus and puts it into practice. “You can not be a Christian without discipleship,” he noted.
He emphasized that believers must live by faith, grow in the Word, and align their lives with God’s eternal truth.

Topic- The Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25:14-31)
The final day focused on responsibility and service. Using the parable of the talents, Dr. Aliku urged Christians to maximize their God-given gifts.
“There is punishment for doing nothing. You are wired with talents and gifts, and you must serve humanity with them,” he stressed.
He further taught that money should remain a servant, not a master, and that the true wealth of a believer is found in relationships and impact, not material Possessions.

The five-day teaching series left participants challenged and inspired to live out authentic discipleship. Pastor Aliku’s messages centered on vigilance against deception, endurance in trials, commitment to discipleship, and faithful stewardship of God’s gifts.

The program closed with a call to believers to remain kingdom-minded, faithfully serving God and humanity while preparing for the return of Christ
